Welcome to the Mokena Music Boosters! The Mokena Music Boosters provide many things to the music program. In addition to financial support through fundraising (Dippin Dots and Pie sales), The Music Boosters also provide the department with the people power needed for administrative functions and chaperoning.
The money raised by the Boosters is used to provide the sheet music, music stands and other supplies needed to run a great music program. The Music Boosters also purchase all of the percussion equipment, as well as all of the larger school-owned instruments available for the children to play. We are also responsible for the maintenance and repair of those instruments.
Membership in the Mokena Music Boosters is $25.00 per family. While this fee is not required to enroll your children in band or choir, we ask that you consider the benefit of the above items being available to the program.
Music Booster meetings are held on the 3rd Tuesday of every month at Mokena Junior High School. All parents are welcome and encouraged to attend!
Open Positions for 2017/2018:
Photographer(s) - Take pictures of the groups at concerts and various other occasions throughout the year. Can do MJH groups only or MIS groups only, if preferred. They are also responsible for preparing short write-ups of our music events and getting them into the local newspapers, so that the students get the recognition they deserve.
Uniform/Spirit Wear– This person handles the ordering and distribution of the uniform shirts, and processes spirit wear orders once per year.
