Mokena Junior High School
Call Back List for
The Little Mermaid Jr.
Thank you to all those who came out and auditioned for MJHS’s Spring Musical, The Little Mermaid Jr.! It was a pleasure to see the effort and energy that all of you put into auditions. Below is a list of students we would like to see again for Callbacks. Callbacks will be held on Thursday, October 10 from 4:30 until approximately 6:30 pm. Please plan to be at Callbacks the entire time. Remember that a Callback does not guarantee you the role you are called back on. All materials for Callbacks are available to print on our department website. The final cast list will be posted on the Music Department website (www.mokenameteormusic159.org) or in the band hallway at the end of the school day on Friday, October 11.
Below is a list of students we would like to see on Thursday, October 10 for Callbacks.
Please note that if you do not see your name, that does not necessarily mean you are not going to be cast for the show.
However, due to the large number of students who auditioned this year, we may have to make some difficult cuts.
The reasons for Callbacks could be as follows:
1 You are being considered (or already cast) for a particular role and we want to see you do short excerpts of the requirements for that part.
2 You had a very strong audition and are being considered for multiple parts.
3 We need to see you paired with other people that are being considered for roles you will interact with for pairing.
4 We have several people who did well on their audition and are having a difficult time choosing.
Please prepare the song/script excerpt listed by the part(s)
you are being called back on. Please note that some parts do NOT have a singing portion.
PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU MUST USE THE RECORDINGS FOR THIS AUDITION.
We do not expect the song or dialogue to be memorized for Call Backs. However, the more prepared you are, the better you will perform for your audition. Please be prepared to sing the ENTIRE song you are assigned. We are looking for personality and energy along with good diction and pitch.
The following students have been asked to audition at Call Backs on Thursday, October 10 starting at 4:30 p.m.
Ariel: Grace Douglas, Autumn Maholy, Miranda Richardson,
Veda Simmons (must sing both excerpts)
Pilot: Christine Alfano, Torree Garcia, Breanna Maves,
Ashley Regan, Eiron Ushijima
Grimsby: Gabe Cedillo, Logan Juric, Eiron Ushijima
Scuttle: Toree Garcia, Logan Juric, Breanna Maves
Mersisters: Emily Cummins, Grace Douglas, Isabelle Faber,
Torree Garcia, Molly Kamarauskas, Autumn Maholy, Seleh Maranto,

There is always the possibility that we may ask you to read for other parts at Call Backs as well once we are under way. Please be flexible. It is a good idea to become familiar with all of the parts.
Speaking Call Back
Students should prepare ALL call back sides that have their character's name on them.
Singing Call Back
Students should prepare the ENTIRE song for their character. You may be asked to sing along with other students if the part calls for it (ie. Flounder and Mersisters in She's in Love).
